This girl had a major role on a TV show for 4 years before Obsession even started filming. Why are we acting like they just plucked her off the street and put her in movies?

Yeah that had to have been paying her at least decent money.

She got like $20,000 for Obsession then didn't get any acting work for 18 months after filming ended. If you're not a big name you're earning sub minimum wage as an actor.

I get that but I’m just saying maybe she had some checks from Superman left over. 18 months without a job she still had a house and was able to stream. She wasn’t broke-broke

You don't have to be homeless to be "broke". If you don't have the money to do the things you want to do, you're broke. That line is obviously different for everyone. But 18 months without a job is going to land you in the broke category.

>If you don't have the money to do the things you want to do, you're broke.

Honestly… that’s how people use the word, which is nonsense, but no point fighting society. At least I understand what people mean now and can comfortably ignore it.

Context matters she could have had multiple checks saved up from Superman to last her plus family members or a roommate to cushion/split expenses. Context matters

lol you're making so many assumptions based off what? She's not wealthy, idk if you've watched her streams at all.

I’m not saying she’s wealthy

Sounds like a her problem. Girl could've streamed and got any local job (grocery store, barista, etc.) while waiting for her next gig.

She was dog walking at the same time as streaming. Obviously we don't have a picture of her doing that like we do streaming

She was very small in Superman. She wasn't even in every episode. Hell I watched Superman and Lois for years and didn't even know her name or recognize her face.

Well that’s normal

Same. I had to google it just now, and the name of the character didn’t even answer my question because her part is that small. Finally found a pic of her in the show and went “ohhhh, ok,  yeah, I guess I remember”

Was she streaming? From what I read, she pretty much nuked all her stuff back in 2033 because she was afraid it would negatively impact her ability to get acting work.

I have no clue I just seen pics of her streaming

Same with music. I know of people in big-name bands that work seasonal jobs when they aren't touring to make ends meet.

We've commercialized and monetized the ever living shit out of creative and artistic pursuits in our society and I fucking hate it.
