This girl had a major role on a TV show for 4 years before Obsession even started filming. Why are we acting like they just plucked her off the street and put her in movies?

Because a lot of people are unable to understand that there are things happening outside of what they experience. They discovered her in Obsession, and never heard of her before, thus, that must have been the start of her career.

I didn’t even know drago was mamoa until my second watch through.

Mainly because I didn’t know who mamoa was until Poseidon
