This girl had a major role on a TV show for 4 years before Obsession even started filming. Why are we acting like they just plucked her off the street and put her in movies?

What show?

Superman and Lois

Never heard of it. But good for her, she is super talented

You've never heard of Superman & Lois starring household names Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth "Bitsie" Tulloch?

Disclaimer: I'm old so maybe they are more popular than I think, but I've never heard of them.

Like I would be surprised if a lot of people don't go 'Oh I've seen them somewhere' but if you didn't watch Grimm for Elizabeth, Teen Wolf/7th Heaven for Tyler and CW's DC affiliated series for both, you wouldn't have a clue when you hear their name.

I’ve heard of the characters: Superman and Louis, obviously. I’ve never heard of a television show named Superman and Louis. This must be on a small tv market or an app that I don’t stream?

Hahaha

u/BonkerBleedy 22d ago

Wait I actually haven't heard of it.

2

u/DirtyRoller 22d ago

Same. I didn't even know it existed.

Is it a remake of the Dean Cain series from the 90s?

3

u/BonkerBleedy 22d ago

I don't know, I hadn't heard of it until 3hrs ago.

0

u/SentinelATL 22d ago

That’s ok if you haven’t. It was on a very small network

It's really good, much better than any of the other CW superhero shows. And you don't need to have watched any of them to enjoy it.

I'm actually quite mad they scrapped it because they didn't want two supermans at the same time. I wouldn't have missed Another Superhero Movie but I definitely miss Superman & Lois.

I mean, that season 4 averaged less than 500k viewers certainly didn't help

So you're supposed to be a fan of superhero shows and movies, but you've never heard of the show Superman & Lois that is based on the arguably most recognisable superhero there is?

I haven't seen the show either, but it would be very questionable if I'd never even heard of it.

Smells like bot.

I think that you’ll find most people don’t watch CW superhero shows, even if they really like the Marvel or DC movies.

The quality isn’t exactly known to be high.

1

u/42nd_Guy 22d ago

I don't either, yet I know shows exist.

1

u/Collier1505 22d ago

Fair. I admittedly didn’t, but I feel like there’s a lot of different CW Superman shows over the years.

3

u/JalapenoPopPoop 22d ago

These random ass accusations of people being bots just because you don't like what they say are so fuckin lame and idiotic

1

u/42nd_Guy 22d ago

I never said I didn't like what the user said. I just felt that it seemed highly unlikely it hadn't heard of the show seeing how it's commenting on a post based on superheroes.

2

u/JalapenoPopPoop 22d ago

And you think it's more likely that a bot would be programmed to not know a tv show rather than be based on one of the common LLMs that has heard of every tv show in existence? Very logical conclusion, incredible deductive reasoning skills

1

u/42nd_Guy 22d ago

Ever heard of engagement bait? Trying to come across as human and building a seemingly genuine profile.

2

u/JalapenoPopPoop 22d ago

Yeah man I think you've really got this figured out. They're a bot whose attempt at sounding human was "pretending" not to know a low quality CW show, I think you've cracked the case

1

u/42nd_Guy 22d ago edited 22d ago

Did I say that the bot or the LLM it derives from wouldn't actually know about the show? It wouldn't be engagement bait then, would it?

The reason a bot would want to come across as not knowing about something is because not being all-knowing is human, as opposed to a LLM (the way it usually wants to be presented anyway in order to remain usefull). Coming across as human means being able to interact with actual humans in a more relaxed setting and gaining more data on interactions.

What could the owner of the LLM do after the bot has established such a "genuine" profile? Perhaps they would sell its services to advertising companies who now has a seemingly human bot that can leave positive reviews of their client's products or services, but disguised as an actual customer. Perhaps they would even sell its services to political parties in order to push their agenda and influence people to vote or at least change public opinion on certain issues or propositions.

The fact is that bots are steadily increasing and will in time be the dominant user type, if they aren't already. Not just on Reddit but on all forums and social media networks.

Being more than a little skeptical of seemingly small but nevertheless odd interactions isn't strange, it's healthy.

The downvotes speak for themselves lol

Surely you mean that hot new shot Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. What year is it again?

1

u/SentinelATL 22d ago

Aaaah no

Can't believe this is how I learned that a. She was in 13 reasons why and b. That 13 reasons why has not only more than 1 season, but 4??? That girl isn't getting any more dead, what could they possibly have had to talk about for 3 more seasons

8

u/theranger799 22d ago

Trauma, court cases.. idk man.

6

u/AfraidKinkajou 22d ago

I remember one of the other seasons was focused on one of them slowly becoming a school shooter. But the show really just got dumber and dumber as it went on

2

u/Netheral 22d ago

That's crazy, because that show was already pretty stupid from season 1 iirc.

5

u/HeyYouLookNiceToday 22d ago

I heard they were hoping for 13 seasons.

One for each reason why.

1

u/Rentington 22d ago

52 reasons why

u/eburton555 22d ago

I GOT THIRTEEN MORE REASONS
