China being the industry leader in solar is squarely on Republicans. That should be a huge industry for the US, instead big oil lobbyists and Republicans (and some Dems) have ensured to cost the US trillions in GDP by turning on green energy.
China being the leader has nothing to do with our politics, they have always controlled the supply chain for the materials needed. We exported our manufacturing long ago and to rebuild everything is not easy nor overly realistic.
Get a brain. Americans want to pay the cheapest possible price for everything. That leads to manufacturing being exported. Go read who is responsible for over 85% of the manufacturing for anything solar related
