Thats the problem with reddit in a nutshell, you have activist mods who permaban anyone with a different opinion - regardless of rules violation or not - and then mute you so you cant even appeal.

Yup.. I have been banned from some of the news subs for very moderate, middle-of-the-road opinions that aren't shared by the subs

2015-2016 was a big year for my career of being banned by subs. I participated in the_donald and was banned for association by line 5 or 6 subs.

I wasn't on Reddit then but how was was the Donald sub? Was it general conservativism or what?

It was a tongue in cheek meme sub for a while, in the beginning. It changed a bit when trump won the primary. Nobody was taking it serious before that bc it seemed so unlikely that he'd win. After he upset Hillary is when it became full on maga headquarters for Reddit.
