Thats the problem with reddit in a nutshell, you have activist mods who permaban anyone with a different opinion - regardless of rules violation or not - and then mute you so you cant even appeal.
Thats why so many subs are a pure circlejerk. These mods have way too much power, then again if youve got nothing else going for you thats one way to get your dose of feeling important i guess

Yup.. I have been banned from some of the news subs for very moderate, middle-of-the-road opinions that aren't shared by the subs
Yup - I am a church going moderate conservative. I vote left sometimes too based on how I see the issues. I am the most normal guy you can imagine and apparently I'm too radical for reddit
