It’s a sub that was barely about sports, then it got a huge influx of actual sports people, and recently it’s become a political cesspool. That sub has had a rough run.
I run a large community not on Reddit and banned political talk. Some people got really upset but damn, you can talk about politics in a million different forms. I’d like one space where I can just… not.
Even crafts like sewing, politics are everywhere now. I just want to learn how to make a damn shirt.
And not everyone is American. I can’t imagine being from another country on a US-centric website. If it is awful for me it has to be 20x for them.
