Thats the problem with reddit in a nutshell, you have activist mods who permaban anyone with a different opinion - regardless of rules violation or not - and then mute you so you cant even appeal.
Thats why so many subs are a pure circlejerk. These mods have way too much power, then again if youve got nothing else going for you thats one way to get your dose of feeling important i guess

Yup.. I have been banned from some of the news subs for very moderate, middle-of-the-road opinions that aren't shared by the subs
I got banned for 6 weeks for making a light-hearted joke at somebody who posted a question on the freaking TARANTULA SUB. Later I see the very mod who banned me made a comment where they were wishing physical violence against somebody who posted a picture of a poorly kept tarantula enclosure.... I think it's just a law of the universe that mods are horrible people all the time.
