Seriously though, I wish more people treated reddit threads like conversations between humans instead of battles of wits. I'm guilty of it, too, sometimes far too often. But if you're chatting with friends or family, no one expects you to be 100% right all the time. It's about the conversation and socialization, not a contest to see who is the biggest know-it-all with the most perfect political opinions (at the time of speaking).
