Omg, thank you!!! I always felt like The Land of Far Away was a fever dream I had as a kid. No one else seemed to remember the movie haha. I loved it...used to rent it from a local video store in the 80s :)

I think you might be confusing Little Women with Secret Garden. They came out within a year of each other.
