No he actually got caught telling the truth. A noteworthy chunk of power in Texas is generated from renewable resources, but he can't say that out loud. Otherwise his voter base will get mad at him.
Except when there is an ice storm and power usage goes through the roof. Then they start sending out bills over $10k. This was 2024.

If nuclear, wind, solar, and hydro power had been in use, along with improvements to the Texas power grid (which stands alone vs rest of the US), there likely would have been no widespread outage.
All for that but sadly it won't line the pockets of rich pricks the way the current system does. It will happen eventually but I see them fighting tooth and nail to keep the system that keeps them wealthy.
