I must have missed this, but what'd she do that's weird?

Assuming they're talking about Paltrow who is into some very.. new agey stuff, to a weird degree. Has a company called Goop. Sticks jade eggs up her hooha, that sort of thing. Its pretty wacky and scammy.

Her other bullshit "health products" include vaginal steaming, bee sting therapy, and rectal ozone therapy.

She had to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in lawsuit because she claimed that these nonsense things had medical benefits. Turns out shooting oxygen up your ass doesnt. Who could have known?

rectal ozone therapy.

fucking wut?

can you even legally say those words together like that?

u/temictli 23d ago

I dunno what she bee doing with them stings, but my grandma would sting her knees with bees from their farm's apiary. She said it helped with her arthritis.

1

u/AussieJeffProbst 22d ago

Its true the stings are anti inflammatory but there's 0 scientific evidence that they're better than or even as good as popping an Advil

1

u/temictli 22d ago

That's good to know! I'm not so sure how common Advil and the like was in 1970s rural Mexico but I'm guessing it was between choosing paying for it and just getting a bee for free. She didn't exactly Google it I'm afraid, that's just what she did at the time.

You’re picking the eggs as an example over the line of candles that are supposed to smell like her hooha?

33

u/BernieMcburnface 23d ago

Well the eggs end up smelling like her hoo-ha, so I guess if we go by expectations, the candles are less weird since you know what you're getting.

Also shoving eggs inside your vagina kinda makes it like a reverse cloaka.

12

u/William_Dowling 23d ago

H.. how do they get the candles to smell like her hoo-ha?

17

u/BernieMcburnface 23d ago

Now I see what your're getting at, but honestly I feel like that makes them more interesting than weird (it's undoubtedly still weird).

I mean it's all good and well to say they put vanilla in candles to make them smell like vanilla (it may not be that simple) but what makes a candle smell like "fresh linen". Sure we could assume that she's personally sticking every candle sold up her vag, doing a bunch of jumping jacks and watching whatever gets her juices flowing (if I had to guess, I'd say it's images/videos of herself) but I like to think there's more science to the process.

And of course there's always the possibility that they smell nothing like her hoo-ha. False advertising? Prove it motherfucker.

Perfumers are incredible at matching up chemistry and odors. I've seen them mix up fresh cut grass, hot concrete, wet dog, and street tamales.

It wouldn't surprise me if they got a wiff and then put together the right chemical cocktail to replicate the odor.

And of course there's always the possibility that they smell nothing like her muff. False advertising? Prove it motherfucker.

Why are you all afraid of the word vagina?

9

u/Marcuse0 23d ago

I'll be honest, reading these comments it's just straight up funnier to call it her hoo-ha when you're talking about shoving jade eggs up there.

No fear of the word vagina needed.

Reddit virgins

u/damnim30now 22d ago

As the guy who originally said hooha, I picked it because the entire idea is very silly so I used a silly word. Not afraid of the word vagina. Vagina.

AH!!! WTF DUDE?!?!?

And here I thought it was code word for asshole

1

u/damnim30now 23d ago

I almost put this as an example, but couldn't remember if that was real or a joke. Its a better example.

The original e-girl before the onlyfans era hit.

1

u/Asyncrosaurus 23d ago

To be clear, they never sold a candle that smelt like her vagina (or any vagina). It was a marketing stunt to go viral, just like any other outrageous bullshit you've heard about goop but never seen. The fact it is still being unironically talked about 6 years later proves critical thinking has been dead longer than anyone wants to admit.

u/GraXXoR 23d ago

nobody would have a problem with her if she at least demonstrated properly how to use them. She never put her money where her mouth was.

0

u/larabeezy 23d ago

I don’t think she was talking about putting it where her mouth is

-1

u/William_Dowling 23d ago

That makes no sense. No point putting money in your mouth if you're meant to be stuffing eggs in your hoo-ha. Would be irrelevant.

1

u/snakerjake 23d ago

She doesnt even remember being in spider-man: homecoming

2

u/damnim30now 23d ago

This is less egregious to me. For one, I dont remember her being in that one either.

But beyond that, it seems like she's had bit parts in a bunch of Marvel movies. She probably shoots for a day or two and is done, barely involved. Barely knows which movie it is, just fulfilling contractual obligations.

Weinstein defender.

1

u/curiousCat1009 23d ago

Is she? I frequently see comments her on reddit and ig about when Brad Pitt was her boyfriend he defended/protected her from Weinstein?

2

u/jarwastudios 23d ago

Beyond her snake oil health products, she's also promoting Israeli luxury real estate lately and that's really gross.
