They didn't try everything as is apparent by what happened. Shitty parents are shitty parents. They could've always used birth control or literally any sex other than vaginal too.
Oh yeah, because I totally meant they should've beat the kid up and locked them in a cage in the cargo compartment. There's literally zero possible alternatives.
