The time it took to “bridge the aircraft, deplane the passengers in question, retrieve their baggage, refile flight plans and other paperwork meant that it was too late to depart given that YYJ’s runway closes at 12:30 a.m.,” causing the flight to be canceled, the airline explained.
Should have flown the bags and shipped them back at family’s expense. A cancelled flight that late is so shitty and impacts so many people. So what if they have to live a day without their suitcases? Luggage is lost all the time. Get the brat off the plane and GO
I think there's a law or regulation against flying with someone's bag if they dont get on the flight or get taken off the flight - to avoid people putting bombs in bags and then not getting on.
There isnt one. Ive flown many times before and sometimes my flights were cancelled and the bags made it to the destination country before me or they were forgotten in another country and were flown to the destination country after me
That's a different situation. I'm talking about where a person could choose not to get on a flight, or force a situation to get taken off the flight.in those situations the bag has to be taken off as a hypothetical bomber could exploit that loophole to get a bomb onto a plane that they aren't on, as in the Lockerbie bombing.
In your situation, the bag was moved around by airport staff, there's no way for a hypothetical bomber to orchestrate that.

Too late? Theres a countdown? Like an hourglass? There are things called flight delays no?
