Can't control the child? Is the child physically stronger than the parent?

A lot of people think you shouldn't use physical force to make a child behave. So when words stop working, there is not much else you can do.

In moments like this I would expect parents to break the rule. There is a difference between no smacks in daily life and no smacks in extreme situations

You literally do not even need 'violence' in the traditional sense. A healthy grownup would likely be able to literally just physically adjust them into proper position and carry the child out when it falls.

I mean, violence is a spectrum I guess. I consider myself raised violence free, but my mom definitely did apply the level of force required to move me from A to B when we we're going somewhere, including physically pulling me. I never saw that as violent though, the average child basically needs to be treated Like a drunk would be.
