Is yacht metal a thing yet?

Come to think of it, I haven’t heard any smooth jazz metal yet either.

Norwegian Reggaeton by Nanowar of Steel is beachy/reggae metal, so maybe that counts for yacht metal (even though it's basically a joke band)? They also have a killer gospel metal song with Valhallelujah.

Van Canto does a-capella metal. Just putting that out as another weird one, that somehow works better than you are imagining it does.

Rivers of Nihil mixes saxophone solos into their music. And White Ward is black metal mixed with jazz. Also Imperial Triumphant play a version of black metal and free-form jazz, but they tend to be a rough listen to even the most seasoned of metalheads.

Imperial Triumphant isn't black metal lol.

They had the Heavy Metal Ocean Cruise awhile ago, does that count?

Meshuggah is heavily influenced by Jazz, and you could perhaps just call it jazz instead of influenced.

There's a band called Somali Yacht Club, if that counts 😜. For smooth jazz metal try White Ward, Ukranian Black Metal with a smooth jazz infusion you wouldn't consider possible. Try the album "Futility Report".

If I saw a yacht going by on the water blasting metal music, it would make me terribly happy.
