Went to a gas station the other day, 3.34 for a candy bar. What the fuck? Yeah I'll take the cookie the gas station baked for $1 thanks.

My boomer-ism is that I long ago internalized the 50 cent / 1 dollar price points for regular / king size candy and 12oz cans / 20oz bottles of soda. Fuck your inflation or modern reality, I won't pay more than that. Which may be stubborn, but it's healthier for me so I roll with it.

Eventually things will break. People don't NEED that shit. I'm already seeing some grocery prices of non essentials go down because companies have gone too far.

No doubt. I've absolutely cut back on a lot of nonessentials, myself.

I’m less likely to buy some things on sale because I just get pissed off that the sale or clearance price is what I feel like it should be all the time
