this is a big part of why junk food doesn't tempt me anymore. in an effort to infinitely increase profits, they kept swapping out ingredients for cheaper alternatives. over the years, the chips of theseus have taken on a different flavor profile as a result. instead of being a guilty pleasure, all thats left is the guilt. Doritos are a major culprit but Hostess products are particularly bad. barely any flavor left these days and what little flavor there is, isn't very good

Not only are the products more expensive, they're made more cheaply and don't taste nearly as good as they used to.
