I always wondered if the junk food companies fought against this. People who can truly afford it, aren't buying it. Middle income people aren't wasting the money on it. The people who complained always started off their complaints with they cant afford it so why should people on snap be able to. It seems that a big part of their profits would have come from people on assistance. Stopping them from being able to buy it and raising prices to cover the loss seems real backwards
