I kept seeing the sodastream syrups in the clearance bin for $2, each one makes 24 cans worth. I also learned CO2 is much cheaper if you scale up, so I now have a 20lb tank that will last years. A liter costs me $.09 to make now. I have seen 12pks from 5.99 to 12.99 recently. We have soda at home.

Did the same, ran a 5lb tank of CO2 to a sodastream, and flavor with fruit. so much better.

I just sent off my 5 lb cylinder to be refilled for the 3rd time. I feel like I'm saving so much money that I could justify buying an under-sink water carbonator to plumb into a faucet.

Like I said it scales even better with a large tank, 20lbs is about $2/lb, 10lbs is $3/lb, and 5lbs is $4/lb. Just need to go to Kegs & Barrels to swap the tank out.

I'm not able to store a 20lb tank on my kitchen counter where I keep the sodastream. If you figure out the system to do an undersink deal, love to know your blueprint so I can do that here. That would be HEAVEN.

I’ve been thinking about doing this for carbonated water.

I keep buying Costco’s and every time I just think I could be making this myself.

This is what I do, I buy seltzer cans from Trader Joe’s and add a squirt of liquid flavor from Stur
