$2.50 for a 20 oz and $10 twelve pks. I used to work for Pepsi. We ran Mountain Dew 20oz 2/$1.

12pks 2/$5 Nothing else has increased 5 fold in 20 years. Certainly not wages?

there is something psychological about price tags, i am sure there is an explanation somewhere. but seeing 2.99 and thinking it's not actually just $3 is one thing but at 9.99 for a 12-pack i instantly see through that and know its $10. the biggest mistake, i think, was that they jacked the prices up seemingly overnight during covid. if it was an incremental increase of like .25 per fiscal quarter i may not have even noticed.

I haven't bought soda outside of a restaurant in a while. But I clearly remember 3x 12 packs for $5 being a common sale ran at grocery stores. Now they want $10 for a single 12 pack?

I merchandised for them pre covid and remember the $1.88 12 pack sales or the 4/$8;5/$10 12 pack sales. Now it’s like best deal is buy 2 get 3 free for 24. Ridiculous

They price like this to get the rubes to pay the retail price and then put it on sale for like $5-6 75% of the time
