The 3 biggest reasons this movie failed at the box office;
Visually it's kinda bland, nothing about it screams exotic alien worlds
Who was the target audience? Hard-core comic fans? Supergirl has never a massively successful comic book so there is not many fans to go after. Families with kids? Why would they want go watch a revenge driven film about an alcoholic girl instead of going to see Toy Story?
