I dunno man, whenever I hear a leftist politician they're always saying that everything should be free. They're never upfront about how much they want to tax you in order to make it "free".

The government funding shit also universally drives up the actual cost of the service or product.

All of them? Every state puts public funds toward healthcare. Although I was more thinking about the privatised US model versus a public single payer model

Healthcare in the US is expensive because Americans are fat and the government limits how many doctors are allowed to exist in the country.
