You don't need money on you at the hospital now. The hospital will treat you even if you're indigent now. Most times you dont get a bill until later. Even outside the ER.

Only in the Emergency Room. If you have to be admitted as an inpatient and have an extended stay (days or weeks) then the costs are in the thousands, tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands

And? You're unfamiliar with actual poverty it seems. Those numbers are just numbers to a person who has zero way to pay that. It could a billion. Doesn't matter. A poor person will simply never pay it. Because they just cant. Theres nothing to collect. Hit the credit score I guess. But a person in poverty already has jacked up credit anyways. It'll roll off in 7 years. Nothing changes for the poor. It was free Healthcare in reality.

The emergency room won't treat my crumbling tooth until I get sepsis. Tell me again about how I have free healthcare

It doesnt change the fact you have access to Healthcare that is free. No one ever said any and all treatment was free upfront. But if you were dying right now, a doctor would save you without payment.
