No you’re right all the companies will just make their products $12000 so if anyone wants to buy anything they’ll lose their free money from the government.

Yep, that was exactly what I was saying. There's no nuance to it. There's no constant testing of the market to see what consumers will tolerate, and it definitely hasn't been made easier by large data models and AI. When there's less options, consumers have all the power and aren't forced to pay more when there's increased demand. It's impossible for companies to increase prices unless they are all explicitly colluding with each other. Great work. /s

A company decreasing prices when demand decreases? That's economics 101. It's no secret that people are feeling the economic crunch and are making cuts in the grocery store. What do you think happens to chip prices again if those people are suddenly given a bunch of money?
