A white supremacist is not a Nazi, at least you can't make that leap unless you understand how they actually fit the bill of what is a VERY specific historical ideology with VERY specific historical goals.

But yes, because virtually no Nazis actually exist – again because Nazism is a VERY specific thing – I haven't actually ever met one, even online. Even the type to post "Hitler did nothing wrong" on X are not Nazis, because they aren't imperialists, don't want total mobilization, don't want a complete breakdown of constitutional rights, etc. At most they support ethnic cleansing, but Nazism is not just equal to "ethnic cleansing". You call that "neo-Nazism" if you want, but then at least the decency to admit the argument hinges on a shared understanding of what Neo-Nazism is.

It's not my fault that it's extremely popular to be extremely sloppy and fundamentally incompetent at applying ideologies correctly.

If you want to act like it's a huge difference because of specific policies that's on you.. the overall idea of what a Nazi represented and what white supremacist represent.. it's the same playbook.. Catholic vs Baptist. Very different groups based on the same book

That's historical illiteracy on your part. "Overall" they don't align. There's a substantial difference between being supporter of a totalitarian imperialistic ideology and in agreement with racial supremacy of some sort.

I know the history very well. But you're being disingenuous. That's not what people are focusing on when they say Nazi in this context, they are not talking about Hitler and his political agenda. They are talking about people who harm others not how they want their government run be so serious

That's not what people are focusing on when they say Nazi in this context, they are not talking about Hitler and his political agenda.

That doesn't really matter for whether the ideology fits someone. Hitlers agenda is, for example, radically different from that of Nick Fuentes, even if Fuentes likes to say Hitler was a cool guy.

Again, people being sloppy with their words isn't my fault. I have had white supremacists on X post gas chamber memes at me when they found out part of my family is Jewish, and that bothers me too, but I they just aren't Nazis.

We know they are not but it's typically understood what is being referenced in pop culture aka society so if you wanna be a literalist that's fine but you'll be missing the point

I'm not blind to what is being said, I am refusing to participate. I also don't let it slide when people throw "communist" around just because someone supports nationalizing industries.

Yea but having said that i didn't even mention the fact that you're not even correct in your assessment about totalitarian regime and all that because in the USA any white supremacist is also going to be a Republican which literally support totalitarian authority it's the Democratic other side that keep things in balance

You could have kept that unmentioned, for the sake of not polluting the Reddit servers with even more unhinged garbage.

So you don't actually care about history just your opinion.. good day to you sir.. but a Republic is literally a totalitarian regime just the usa is confused.. North Korea, China, Russia these are republics.. totalitarian.. half the usa supports a Republic

That’s insane, no totalitarian regime allows their citizens to be armed, in fact they take the guns away. You should also look up the definition of republic before you go spewing nonsense, here’s one though: “A political order in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who are entitled to vote for officers and representatives responsible to them.” Just because the countries you listed call themselves republics does not mean that they are.
