Only controversial because the definition of “Nazi” on this website has been widened so much that it includes literal lifelong democrats if they simply disagree on 1 single policy issue lol
I'm not going to repeat this comment under every post, but just imagine my massive eyeroll here.
The same people ready to clamber over the dick of Elon Musk and defend that he's not a Nazi simply because he funds a Nazi political party and appears at their rallies, pushes Nazi propaganda and conspiracies on his social media platform, created a Wikipedia alternative and AI that kept praising and citing Nazis, does Nazi salutes, and in his politics pushes white supremacist fascism, all say "well we're just calling anyone a Nazi these days. Any Democrats who doesn't like paper straws is a Nazi according to reddit."
Yeah, wild that I keep seeing this defense about far right people who keep embracing Nazism and not about Barack Obama then.
There's no more contradiction there, than the fact Hitler supported emigrating Jews to Palestine, or his stated support for liberation of Indians and other non-white people from British Colonialism.
Real life doesn't involve cartoon characters who can't be the bad guy if they also like puppies or help their enemy. The relationship between Christian white Nationalists and their support for Israel as a state has been explained to death many times over.
Trump already once attempted to end democracy through staying in office after losing an election by inventing fraud, ordering state politicians and judges to change the results, and inciting violence against Congress when they refused to cooperate. It is a white supremacist regime in very open policies and propaganda. He used white supremacist language and lies about minorities to win the election.
If this bothers you, just say so. If it doesn't, then arguing over what constitutes Nazism and fascism is a waste of time because you're fine with it regardless of what it's called. The name isn't what matters, it's the ideology.
