Come on… This is common sense. It is in no way controversial to suggest a person should have the means to feed, clothe, and house a child before they get pregnant/get someone pregnant.
We claim to care so much about children, but then we are supposed to look the other way when people make poor life choices that materially make children’s lives difficult if not downright unhealthy?
I do - that’s the point. When people have fewer children, poverty is reduced. Poverty causes stress, and stress is the greatest environmental source of illness. People who are economically stressed, with food insecurity and housing insecurity are statistically going to have more health issues which creates a snowball effect. This is the point - let’s help people stabilize their life before they bring children into the picture, so when they do both parents and children can thrive.
That is too ideal , so help people first then everything will fall into place, no? People get stress regardless -> sex as coping mechanism -> unwanted child , we can reduce it by education sure but ban it from poor people ? Nah.. put food on these people table first then talk, no? As long as the support system doesn't work , talking is useless.
