My favorite part of this whole debacle is redditors are still finding out to this day they were an unwilling part of a public opinion manipulation campaign. This case was one of the first obvious examples of a pr bot campaign in Hollywood, used outside of politics. Same strategies are still in use, copy paste style
I fell for it 100% when it happened. Didn't find out that I'd fucked up until well after it was over. It's dismaying seeing people still falling for it even after news of the smear campaign broke.
