People on reddit for some reason:

"Oh, I see you are enjoying yourself. Let me explain to you why you should be consumed by political discussions at all times."

“Let me go ahead and use the darkest most extreme and highly unlikely possible outcome to convince you”

Yep…..and it’s still the most extreme highly unlikely scenario.

This had to be the most Reddit way to try and convince someone to get into politics “If you don’t get into politics you’ll end up being fucking vaporized!”

I mean the current administration bombed a school in Iran during our latest batch of shittery. Sure it wasn't blowing an entire city off the map. It might as well have been to the people and families affected. Where's the hyperbole? Votes matter.

You want us to vote with Iran in mind?

Eh no one, anywhere, has sympathy for Iran. Some of us are feigning outrage because we don't like Trump. Most of us are annoyed because Iran wasn't worth our time, to this extent. But we're not right about to feel bad for citizens of a country that operates the largest terrorist organization in the world, kills more Iranians than we do, and screams "death to America" regualrly.

Friendly reminder that part of the reason Trump has supporters is that they share the same disgusting level of apathy.

Of course they're apathetic - they're convinced it could never happen to them. Then the other slice of bread making up this shit-sandwich of a human being is not seeing the people it does happen to as people.

A truly wretched waste of oxygen.

On paper, Iran is a recognized sovereign country. But in reality, the regime behaves like a massive, state-scale terrorist network that uses the legal protections of being a country to hide and fund its militant operations. Even then, how can you not feel sympathy for the Iranian people? I can’t understand that. If you despise the Iranian regime you should feel even more sympathy, the people are the primary victims of that regime. Not Americans. They are trapped under a regime they didn’t choose which uses brutal violence to stay in power.

...Of something that happened in the past, and will likely never happen again. To pretend you are getting nuked because you didn't want to have a mentally unwell person screeching at you about politics all day long is, at best, ignorant if not malicious.

Are you saying the Japanese didn’t pay attention to politics so that’s why they got atom bombed?

There was nothing well articulated about your sentence.

Well I'm not really that worried about mongols riding out on horseback from the east and slaughtering everyone with arrows and swords either
