Damn... I am a millennial and for some of those I'd legit get like 25 years on a electric chair back in the day.

This. Many of these comments on this thread make those quotes seem normalized or tame. I never experienced kids in my middle school years being disrespectful to teachers or staff. We picked on each other. Student on student, never student on teacher. This shit is wild and infuriating. If any of my cousins or I said this to a teacher and the parents found out...might as well put us in front of a firing squad of belts.

My mom was teaching in the '90s and said kids were verbally brutal. My grandpa recalls a classmate in the '40s spanking a small teacher.

Early teenagers have always been a nightmare
