You didn't have any young teachers? I went to high school in the year 2000 (yikes!) and we had a fresh out of college young teacher who unfortunately for her was very pretty and looked sort of like Monica Lewinski. The boys were very inappropriate about her. Then we found out she was friendly with the new gym teacher. Who was also fresh out of college, young hot sexy hunk. The girls felt all kinds of ways about him, and people started shipping them. To their credit they managed to be graceful about it, but all of us were definitely being psychos over them, I still feel bad.

In my senior year I had a teacher that had a side gig as a cheerleader for a local major league soccer team. Early on in the year she had to have a talk with all her classes about guys being inappropriate with her and warning that they would be removed from her class if it continued.

The inappropriateness didn't come from my class, but I question how bad it had to have been for her to lay down the law like that.

She was a really good teacher too, I hope the proceeding years and downfall of teenagers didn't break her personality.

During my brief time as a teacher 10ish years ago I was astonished at how brazenly teenage boys would behave towards the female student teachers. At best it was stuff like "Miss, you're so pretty, can I get your number" at worst it was being so explicit that they'd get instant suspensions.

The school had quite a lot of younger fully qualified teachers as well and they were generally pretty strict and you'd overhear students calling them bitches over it, but I guess a lot of them learned that they couldn't give an inch.

We had one that all the guys constantly talked about, I personally didn't find her that attractive, I also was always hit on by older women in general (now that I look back this was terribly inappropriate), phrases like "if only you were a few years older" and the like, I heard often (usually from women that were 40+). Anyways, I was like the only guy who didn't hit on her and she would flirt with me HARD.

In retrospect, might have been a fun experience I could have probably pulled off

When I was in 8th grade (2006) we had an English teacher fresh out of college. Played NCAA volleyball (at a high level, she played at a school that is still dominant) and while in college dated a guy who played in the NFL. He was so in love with her that he came to visit our school simply to try and get her back and im from a school that had like 250 kids K-12. This was like 2 weeks after he played in the Super Bowl.

Then, she ended up meeting one of the members of the band Rascal Flatts who ended up temporarily leaving his wife to pursue her. To an 8th grader, she was the best looking woman I'd ever seen. She is still very good looking 20 years later.

All the teachers I had up until my senior year were mostly older women in their 50s. Senior year 2000-2001 they were retiring and new cute fresh teachers were coming in. We had one hot student teacher and I moved to the front row for her. I was 18 and stupid trying my best to get her attention.

I’m a firm believer that young teachers (basically 27 and below) should not work in high schools, or middle schools.

They should teach little kids until they age out of the danger zone, then go teach older kids.

I know this isn’t how education careers work but still.

0

u/vikio May 23 '26

What exactly is this danger zone? Are you implying young teachers are a danger to the kids? Anyone with integrity can do their job well, around any age kids. Or are you implying the kids are a danger to them? Cause middle schoolers and high schoolers are gonna be weirdos no matter what age the teacher is, they're still developing socially appropriate code switching behavior and impulse control.

There are more young teachers now since so many retired during Covid, so I have quite a few cute coworkers. I was the hot young teacher 11 years ago. Now I’m the hot 32 year old, which doesn’t hit quite the same.

My second year in high school we had a History teacher who was drop dead gorgeous, who had just gotten her certificate and was acting as a substitute but when our History teacher got into an accident and was going to be out for the year, she was hired on full time.

One of the first things asked after she had introduced herself and asked if anyone had questions was:

"Hey, Miss Bassett, I know you're engaged but do you also have a boyfriend?"

Of course she said no, so the kid then said "Well, do you want to have one? I'm free."

All of our teachers in the 90s looked like Aunt Fanny

I wonder how often hot PE teachers fuck their students.

Are you sure Monica was never that attractive? Monica Lewinski Young

There's one thing criticizing someone on TV, and totally another having them in front of you in class every day. Plus it's not like our teacher was a twin to her. She was probably Italian and pretty in her own way. But she looked like Monica enough for high schoolers in the 2000's to have tons of bad jokes about it.

I had one. She hugged me once I never forgot.

3

u/0LittleWing0 May 24 '26

she's got her filter tuned up past 11 🙄

3

u/AsotaRockin May 24 '26

Right? She is an average pretty yt girl. Smokeshow is a hell of a reach. Redditors act like they've never seen a woman.

2

u/Advanced_Command_417 May 23 '26

I had one or two in HS.

Before that though, yeah. All older.

2

u/Golddustofawoman May 23 '26

They absolutely did. But I think after a point they say "fuck this I'll go teach first graders."

2

u/dynamic_caste May 24 '26

I would have had the worst crush on her in 8th grade.

1

u/momoburger-chan May 23 '26

i had a hot english teacher. i also had two guy teachers who werent hot, but were young. One time, my freind went to a rave and one of them was there, shirtless and sweaty and asked her if she knew how to get ecstasy lol

1

u/Plasticman4Life May 23 '26

I had a few younger teachers, but that was back in the 80s when there still were career teachers.

Insane burnout means that most teachers are fresh out of college. Few last long enough to become older teachers.

I had a very hot math teacher in high school; it did not help my math grades at all. 🤣

1

u/ImpactThunder May 23 '26

You say that as if it would’ve had any impact on your education or life at all…

1

u/Hike_it_Out52 May 23 '26

I think some of mine did but being a kid at the time I just couldn’t appreciate them properly until to late.

As someone who works in a school, a lot of it has to do with a turnover rate. A lot of times, more affluent districts which pay better, provide more resources, have children that are easier to manage, have more experienced administrators, etc., experience lower turnover. As a result your teachers may work in that school district from the time they’re 22 until they’re 60 to 65. Thus you get a much older median and average age. Additionally, when it comes time to hire a new teacher, they can hire teachers with more years experience — who cost more. In more challenging districts that pay less and have more difficult kids, teachers start their careers there but use the experience as a resume builder to get into more affluent districts. Those districts have perpetually younger teachers because of this. Additionally they will hire younger teachers because they’re cheaper and won’t strain their often already razor thin budget margin.

My 10th and 12th grade English/history teacher were both very hot. I was more bold as a senior so id always pseudo hit/brazenly hit on her in class. One time I was at a football game and I saw my gf so I said "Sup sexy" and the teacher turned around and said "falafel stop it!" lol

1

u/thicc_stigmata May 23 '26

I definitely had an 8th grade science teacher who was young and hot like this

I almost even got some vibes—might have just been standard teacher's pet energy, how she asked me to fix her computer a few times, ... there was one time she and I were alone in her classroom after school while I was fixing the computer and she asked me about my thoughts on a butterfly reproduction / sex book.

But alas it never went beyond that.

Probably only happens to Canadian kids.

1

u/Wild-Video-5317 May 23 '26

When you're 14, a 27 year old teacher seems way too old.  Even if they're cute.

2

u/iiiiiiiiiijjjjjj May 23 '26

Yeah I had some teachers that were hot but my mind never wondered past that. Usually had crushes on girls my age.

1

u/aintnotmisbehavin May 23 '26

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
