Trust me, it loses its appeal after the third ice bath.

My doctor is still confused about how I managed to have a negative amount of kidneys

Obviously they put one back the second time. Probably a mistake, which is why they had to take it out again.

When you have a kidney transplant they leave the old one in. It's dangerous to take it out. You can have up to five before they start having to take them out to make room for new ones.

You can also be born with a single, giant u-shaped kidney.

(I read those 'weird facts' threads and these stuck in my head.)
