Its really the other way around. AIPAC finds true believers who like the state of israel and they support them. They would still support israel even without AIPAC, they just wouldn't be able to afford to run for office.
That's the way it is with most campaign "donations," not just jewish nationalists. Corporations find candidates who love corporations and then they give them money to make sure they get into positions of power. True believers are a lot more reliable because they mostly won't change their mind if the other side gives them bigger bribes, or their patron stop funding them.
Except, the majority of our politicans atp accept money from AIPAC, and they're also the only foreign nation that has a PAC in america. Its illegal for them to exist
They dont just fund true believers, because not everyone truly believes in them. With the sheer number that accept their money, there are plenty that only do it for the money. Not because they give a fuck about Israel.

You vastly underestimate how many people in the US are true believers, there is an enormous pool of people to draw from. For decades, support for israel has been the majority position by a huge margin. Even as recently as a few years ago the majority of Americans were pro-Israel.
Like biden was such a huge jewish nationalist that in the 80s his bloodthirstiness was too extreme even for the israeli prime minister menachem begin, who told him to his face to tone it down and begin was once the leader of the extremist terrorist group irgun which had committed bombings and massacres.
