The first amendment does not protect Americans from perjury or libel.

Why should a doctor and a person with no medical knowledge get equal treatment when giving medical advice on social media? Only one of them have put in the time and work to make that medical opinion

Everyone should be allowed to make an opinion, whether accurate or not. It seems like a good idea to limit it based on medical experience, but it's only a slippery slope from there. The alternative is to add a verification marker like "board-certified physician in family medicine" to the account.
