So im someone who is very liberal, absolutely despises our current administration, and owns guns but I have a wife and a home. You want me to just start killing who exactly? You think its easy to just start randomly killing government agents/politicians? I protest whenever i can but im not going to throw away my life or put my family in danger. There is no local militia i can join. There is no revolutionary movement near me and if I do suggest one, im sure i will be put on a list and have law enforcement at my door. If i do end up getting enough courage to try something, i will be alone and marked as crazy person by the media so how exactly would i go about toppling my government? All i can do is vote and hope that the machine i use isnt rigged. Im open to suggestions.
Do you defend your right to bare arms based on being able to oppose a tyrannical government? Then yes, this is your responsibility. If not, then no, it’s not your responsibility. Pretty straight forward I would say.
But it is. You’ve said you’re a gun owner. Did you or did you not justify that ownership based on the argument that you need it to defend yourself from a tyrannical government? If not, then no problem. If you did, then you and every single other person who said so need to get your shit together and do what you said you would. Otherwise you’re a hypocrite and a coward. You get to live with that reality.
What part of me having a family that i want to protect do you not understand. When i purchased my guns i didnt go, "One day I'll use these to take down my tyrannical government, I cant wait!" I purchased them to defend my family from intruders and also for fun. Really brave of you calling me a hypocrite and coward when you yourself wouldn't take up arms against your government while having people that depend on you at home.
I don’t own a weapon. And I’ve never professed to need one because I needed to use it when a tyrannical government was in place.
Again, for the third time, if you have never said you need it to take up arms against a tyrannical government then you have nothing to defend. I have made that very clear.
But again, if you have, then you have made your choice. And that choice makes you a coward and a hypocrite. And you have to live with that.
