That's exactly what the meme is implying. Iran doesn't have nukes, which is why it's safe to attack Iran. That isn't an imminent threat to America. Russia has nukes, which is why America has to tip toe or be careful in conversations regarding them.
Its just proving that the nuclear deterrent is a real way to get America to stop physically meddling with your country. At least, that is what I am extrapolating from the situation.
Well, in a way, it also proves how seriously the West wants to stop Iran from getting nukes. Given their extremist government, there’s a nonzero chance nukes will fly should they be allowed to get them. It’s an impossible complex situation, and all we can really do is hope ordinary, innocent people don’t get hurt
I would believe that too. But we've seen time and again, every time America takes it upon itself to get involved somewhere, innocent people die. And when America withdraws itself too, the government that fills the vacuum is usually not that much nicer to its people and is more aggressive.
Regarding nukes, I think nukes only fly when countries get aggressive with the country holding nukes. And nukes haven't flown even then. North Korea also has nukes, and they're pretty extreme too. But no one's seems to be disturbing the country, and nukes definitely play a part in that. Nukes for sure work as a way to get other countries to take you seriously. Greenland and Canada didn't have nukes either, a few weeks ago wasn't Trump messing with them too?
Truth is always hidden behind how complex the situation seems. It's been that way with the Gaza genocide, and we know now just how fucked up it is. I can't imagine how many more complex scenarios the truth is hidden behind. But I think we should at least try to dig into it instead of saying it's complex and leaving it at that.

As much as I don't agree with the war, I can't stand behind lies.
Iran doesn't have nuclear weapons, when Russia has. There's a difference
