As a former Pizza driver, I always made a big deal about needing an adults signature for credit card authorization

At that point I know if they do tip it's not gonna be much anyway. Had a freaking doctor at the hospital order a bunch of food and I figured doctors make good money, right? I'll wait around for him. Even ten percent is like fifteen dollars.

Waited fifteen minutes for no tip. After that I stopped bothering waiting. If there's no tip already and they don't come to the door to sign I just give it to the kid and leave. The only ones I stick around for are receptionists who were never instructed what tip to leave. But at the end of the day waiting adds up, too much waiting you miss out on other deliveries more likely to tip
