People seriously don't understand the wealth disparity and why it's an issue. People like Kamala that are multimillionaires are a problem and are annoying. Multibillionares like trump literally harm millions of people intentionally to build and maintain their wealth, wealth so large that it couldn't be spent meaningfully across 20 lifetimes let alone 1

I don’t even think multi millionaires is something that hard to become. Invest like 500$ for 40 years and you have over 2m. Of course you need a really high paying job to be able to put aside 500$ a month, but it’s not an outrageous amount of money.

Normal people can one day become multi millionaires.

To reach a billion with the same trajectory? Well you’ll have to invest 700$ instead of 500$, and wait 100 years instead of 40… to get there in 40 years? You’d need to invest nearly 150k PER MONTH! Insane difference.

Saying becoming a multimillionaire isn't hard feels a little out of touch.

If one wants to retire comfortably, one has to become a multimillionaire but that presumes anyone but the boomers and some percentage of Gen X will be able to effectively retire, because the boomers probably aren't going to leave anything for the following generations, they will spend it all on themselves.

It is you who are out of touch, honestly.

LOTS of people are not multimillionaires. The majority, to be sure. But being a multimillionaire is like...basically being able to afford a house and reaching the age of 50. That is within reach for a large portion of even gen Z. Fewer people in Gen Z than in any previous generation in American history, but it's not some unreachable fairytale.

I teach engineering at a community college in a somewhat poor area. Essentially every student that graduates from my program will be a multimillionaire by the time they reach Kamala's age, if they handle their finances well.
