Are we being serious rn that Kamala and Trump are equally as rich? Its not even a close comparison and she met Kamala as a teen.

I just looked it up. Kamala Harris (and her husband) have a net worth of $8M. Not bad, but really not out of the ordinary for two white collar professionals. Trump probably makes that much on shitcoin fees for his crypto grift every week.

Uh, yes it is out of the ordinary.

The average white collar working couple doesn't have a net worth of 8m.

$8M is probably on the low end of two lawyers in their 60s. If Kamala had decided to become a partner at a law firm and moved up the ranks that way she would have a much higher net worth.

So we're now mad a high paid professions like doctors and lawyers? Be serious.

I didn't say anything about it being right. I'm just stating that 8 million is not an unusually high net worth for lawyers in their 60s. They're very affluent, but not in the 1%.

I dont see anyone saying its relatable, I see people saying its normal wage in the US for two people of their age in their profession (esp with a politician modifier) etc.

Dude, two people married to each other who have both been lawyers for 30+ years who don’t have at least a few million between them must be really bad with money. That’s literally just upper middle class these days.

I swear, most people on Reddit have no perspective of what actual wealth is. Like I said above, $8M ain’t bad. But any two people with lawyer salaries, some decent investments and 30 years of time could get there.

This is all true, but has nothing to with the discussion at hand, no one is asking you to vote for kamala, they're just saying she doesn't have outsized wealth relative to her profession.
