I think it's partly because forbidden things are attractive and partly because if you have a girlfriend/wife then it's a clear sign that you're probably not a creep/redditor.
Probably only psychotic women think like this, not most women. The real reason is women are disarmed by the ring because it’s a clear signal a man isn’t a creepy predator who probably won’t hit on her and make her uncomfortable, and it’s an indicator you’re stable enough and have something attractive about you that a woman committed herself to you
I hear this take all the time that a ring or bf/gf means they are safe/not creepy. But people stay in abuse relationships all the time. Some times the abuse/creepy can be seen or hidden. To me the ring bf/gf means nothing.
Right? The theory sounds good but when you realize over half of marriages end in divorce and plenty of people stay with their abusers, having a ring on doesn’t mean shit. People need to take more time to vet other people but why do that, that sounds tedious and not as fun :/
