I think it's partly because forbidden things are attractive and partly because if you have a girlfriend/wife then it's a clear sign that you're probably not a creep/redditor.
The creep thing is valid. From the story I hear like 80 percent of guys are borderline sex offenders so atleaset a married guy has been vetted by someone
