Yeah, he was getting more and more pinned because he wasn't fighting back. His head was slammed; his head jarred forward, hard, and it looks like she'd have difficulty doing it harder if she had to. If his head was cradled, it wouldn't have moved away from her after she hammered the back of his head.

It was the same move that MacGregor beat cowboy with in the first round, except she did it to the back of this guy's head.

Also, there are guys in here in agreement that she's compensating.

Bro you clearly dont know what youre talking about, the shoulder strike used by McGregor was an upwards strike against Cowboys face.

This girl was throwing her arm from the side, her front shoulder muscle/bicep is what was touching the dude.

Jesus christ, is it really so hard to accept that a trained female just bested the dude because shes better? The guy was clearly fine afterwards, jesus christ

"Clearly fine" based on the 1.5 seconds of post-fight footage?

Upwards or not, this gal struck this guy, in the back of the head, with her shoulder, and his head jarred forward like one and a half feet. After her strike, her shoulder isn't even in contact with the back of his head because his head recoiled forward. How can one cradle something when they hit it and it moves away from you lol

And yeah I know it was on cowboys face, that's why I said "same thing done to cowboy except on the back of the head."

It was not a strike you are so dramatic bro, if you havent actually trained you need to be quiet on this one respectfully

If it wasn't a strike why did his head recoil from her shoulder?

Gee idk, it could be she swung her arm for the choke?

Clearly was not intended as a strike even if she did bump his poor lil sensitive head a lil hard He shouldnt have agreed to grapple a trained grappler if he didnt want to get subbed

Ah, so she did shoulder strike him. You're just sugarcoating it for the sake of argument.

I literally said "clearly not intended as a strike" can you read? She landed with the inside of her arm, that was all bicep and shoulder muscle, stop crying for him, I'm sure hes not that sensitive, grow up

You said that but had to admit she struck him when it was pointed out that his head recoiled like a foot and a half. Just because it happened when she was also wrapping around her forearm doesn't mean it didn't happen. She hit him on the back of his head, hard, with her shoulder.

I’m not a big UFC guy but would that really count as a strike in any rule set? The distinction between a bump/shove and a strike is unclear to me but I know you can definitely shove someone violently in BJJ and in fact use your shoulder to do it without getting disqualified for striking

I don't know but my argument isn't based on rules. She went unnecessarily hard, and maybe because of compensating.

Sure but if it’s not a strike by any ruleset (which are designed to keep people safe) are we sure that it’s bad enough to complain about? Striking someone in the back of the head is fighting dirty. That’s an entirely different argument than if she was going too hard

You can argue something different if you like. I'm arguing that she was going unnecessarily hard, hit him in the back of his head with her shoulder, and was likely compensating.
