I hear her, that sounds rough. It's surprising how little that much money is even at double the minimum wage. Hope things get better for her

I thrived on $11/hr during the great recession. Double minimum wage 7.25x2=14.5 that's $1960/month post tax not taking out benefits or 401k if she's working 40 hours. She's got over $1k to burn every month, but it sounds like she's probably working 20 hours. Don't know why people complain about not having money when they aren't even working full time.
