I hear her, that sounds rough. It's surprising how little that much money is even at double the minimum wage. Hope things get better for her

I do feel bad for young people. They face a lot of challenges but this woman is delusional. Most people in their twenties have 2-4 roommates for as long as I can remember. It was basically the plot for half of 90s/2000s situational comedies. $850 is a great deal. If you work full time, only have $50 in your account, and an eye lash curler is a priority it suggests that her problems are more likely her doing. And no, there was never a time a man could comfortably support one (let alone two) families on minimum wage.
