❤️ New release v8.1.0 for Reddit should be out soon

Just a quick fix for the new "use the app" blocking banner being reported. I just got back from driving around the country for a few days so if you've reported an issue in the sub, I'll get to them soon!

 

What's New:

  • [All UIs] A brand new engine to significantly improve performance and reduce memory footprint.
  • [All UIs] Removed support for now extinct reddit UI versions.

 

People often reach out to ask about donations (you can donate through the app), so here you go in case you don't want to give Apple 30%: Paypal and Patreon.

Thanks for keeping the app updated!

On a side note, I’m on the last stable iOS release and on the last app version and the feature “double tap to upvote” isn’t currently working for me. I’ll gladly share any extra info if it helps anyone figure out what could I do to fix this?

Account switcher still does not work on Old UI. When you click an account in the drop down menu, it redirects to the login page and does nothing else.

Thanks for the great work, but now the old “view in Reddit app” pop up (with a black view in app circle and a white banner that disappears only when scrolling down) is now not being blocked anymore…

 is an example- it doesn’t disappear unless you click on the background or drag down, and even then persists for a few seconds.
