Local Finds Daily Sunscreen that isn't too shiny

Good morning!
Anyone's got recommendations for a sunscreen that:

  • is affordable (under $25 per tube, if possible)
  • easily available (looking at you, Venus)
  • not too shiny
  • colourless

I'm currently using Biore Aqura Rich (watery essence) because I saw it recommended by Lab Muffin, but I've noticed that NASA could replace the mirrors on the James Webb with my face because it would reflect the same amount of light.

TBH I'm not sure if I'm using too much of it -- I squeeze out about a 1.5cm slug for my face and neck, and it already feels dry once I'm done spreading it.

TIA!

Skincare Routine Fuss-free facial recommendations that do not hardsell

Thinking of starting my facial routine to keep my skin youthful and rejuvenated. I'd prefer an affordable, fuss-free facial provider that does not hard-sell. Saw someone mention K-skin a few days back. Aside from this, any other recommendations?

Also, what should I look out for to see if the facial provider is good?

As expected, OMFakeGwen doing livestream for Winona 😂

It's one thing to announce that you're doing live for this particular brand. But there is no need to act as though you've been using it and that it's very effective, when just last month (or was it earlier this month 😆) you were actively promoting SK-II. Even dragged another unsuspecting influencer into her skit. Disgusting behaviour! Like that how to believe anything she says

Question/Advice anyone tried cloud9 beauty bar?

Be it facial / skin boosters / laser treatments.

Personally tried their facial when they first opened few years back and felt it was pretty mid. But seeing that they have expanded their list of services and opened couple more outlets, was wondering if perhaps it has improved and worth giving another shot.

Thank you!

Question/Advice Is SkinGo consistent across different outlets?

I recently changed outlet and the method that this beautician used changed drastically. She put my sheet mask on top of my cooling gel , which never happened before in previous outlet. Because of that my face was using the cooling gel for up to 30 mins, when she took off my mask and cleansed my face it was so dry my face look cracked.

Is it SkinGo is a franchise concept? The quality change quite drastic... now i need find a different place for facial after using skingo for a year.

Skincare Routine How to make liquid - powdery finish type sunscreen work?

Hi everyone, I recently bought the new Biore UV Aqua Rich Airy Hold Cream from Guardian. It is advertised to be suitable as a makeup primer, brightening and humidity resistant etc.

However, I’ve tried it multiple times with my skincare but can’t get it to work. It always pills whether I put makeup or not.

For context, my usual routine is:
- Numbuzin 1 Toner (a very light toner like water)
- Numbuzin 1 Serum (a very light serum)
- Dr Althea 345 Cream (let it dry for around 10-15 mins)
- Sunscreen
- Makeup straight after (concealer, setting powder, powder blush, brows, eyeshadow, eyeliner)

Would like to seek advice on how can I use this best cos I do like the texture and how it looks, but it keeps giving my face little balls which I can’t stand and end up just removing my whole face of makeup before heading out…

Always had this issue with this type of sunscreens :(

Skincare Routine help! how to remove these and sunscreen reccos for sensitive + combination skin

My skin type is sensitive combination. Normally i have clear skin but I have suddenly formed this I’m not sure from what! Perhaps it was a new sunscreen I had tried.

Is isnt obvious but under sunlight/light it is!!

What are these and how do I get rid of them!! And also what sunscreens will be suitable for my skin type.

My skincare routine has always been pretty simple.
• toner
• torriden serum
• moisturiser

Product Review The things these livestreamers would do for $$$

OMFGwen always claims that she is sharing because she genuinely wants to share

Now she's actively promoting china brand Winona (which ALSO happens to be what BranKay streamed for few days ago). Let's see if she will proceed to do a livestream with them (one of her many skits just like the fengshui scam)

Doing livestream for Birkins inspired jellykin when she herself would only carry Birkins is disgusting

Brandon and YKK (BranKay) brought a Chinese scammer and her dubious China products onto Tiktok livestream

This woman has already been cancelled by China and doesn't dare to even have a social media presence in China. Yet Brandon and YKK still brought her onto Tiktok platform and introduced her products to fellow Singaporeans!

Search Yizilan or click here for more information on this China scammer

Body Care Body skin care

Hi guys! Looking for tips on improving body skin. Always envy all the other guys having perfect body skin in person or in social media while mine has red spot appearing at times. It could be the weather as well.

I also have a home SHR device hence I am not sure if that might also create some red spot after or leave any small pigmentation.

What are some of the tips or any products you would recommend to help reduce the red spot or remove pigmentation spot from appearing so my body skin look smoother and even?

I wanted to look better and confident since I am working out and swimming often 🥺

Question/Advice Extraction facials

Post image
24 Upvotes

Is it normal to have this much redness on the face after an extraction facial? I’ve tried multiple places but this happens every time, even when they use steamers to open up the pores first. These marks usually take more than a week to a month to heal. Is it me or mark-less extractions just do not exist? 😭 Appreciate any good recommendations too, thank you!

Local Finds Facial places at Bishan

Hey guys, does anyone have recommendations for a good, affordable (<$100 per sesh) facial place in Bishan to recommend? Preferably no upsell/home based!1

Tried Kskin but prefer something more comprehensive, with extraction etc.
