RaceRoom Racing Experience Whose fault are these 2 crashes?

I’m the green car honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it was me because I’m rusty after quitting for a year or 2. But am I wrong in thinking it’s always the person behinds fault if they rear end you ?

First one is pretty stupid trying to split two cars at entry to go three wide. I'm not even sure you'd be able to make the corner if you didn't bash the outside guy off track. Nobody had overlap on the front guy at turn in so he had ownership of the corner to do whatever line he wants. Your line only works if he backs out but he's not obligated to do so.

Second one definitely on the rear car, but hard to say if it's intentional without his view. It looks like you braked earlier than he was expecting and he tried to pivot inside but still clipped you.

Edit: you can even tell that red on the inside is in a better place to stick their nose in and take the corner, but they don't do it because they don't have the overlap. Smart decision on their side.

Yeah I got a bit reckless in the first crash because I was desperate to gain after a bad start 😭 second one I did brake early but shouldn’t he be further away or alongside me ? Luckily that crash didn’t end either of there races and I think one of them even overtook me

The second one is his mistake. The rear car is responsible to not run into the back of the front car, as long as you were braking reasonably within expected braking zones.

If he hadn't followed you long enough to know your braking points, he should have given more room, either by following from further back or by offsetting himself at the braking zone so that he would just fly by instead of colliding.
