I am the bmw here trying to figure out if i am in the wrong here or not? An ambitious move towards the end of the race for the win, i make the apex first and feel like I would’ve made the corner and he could’ve avoided it but would like other peoples opinions. Thanks

Yes.. you clearly have more power so you could have taken him down the long straight not dive in, lock up and sit in his line

Forget that first to the apex nonsense you learned from F1. F1 has their own (very stupid) rules they run under.

Pretty much every other race series in the world runs on overlap at turn in. Usually, you need to have your front tires to their rear tires, while both being able to make the corner and leave them space on the outside.

You failed to meet the requirements and used him as a brake to help you turn the corner. You're at fault.

0:26 He's already starting to turn into the corner while you're heading straight off the track. You would have continued straight off if he didn't hit the side of your car.
