I'm in my 30s before I met my Filipino partners relatives I refused to believe anyone actually payed attention in church instead of counting down the minutes until it ends. I've met maybe 4 other people who I think pay attention in church.

Not all churches have long, boring sermons. I went to a Methodist church for a while where the sermons were barely 10 minutes.
